Heather and Colin’s classic Chicago wedding was ABSOLUTELY everything!! It took all I had to not share their entire album in this blog!
Gordie, and I first met Heather 6 years ago at a tiny Chicago-burb establishment where we all worked. Heather and I as waitresses, Gordie as the chef. (It’s where Gordie and I first met too!) Our working relationship basically turned into us hanging out in the kitchen stealing food ????…. I mean purchasing LOL!
Through the years we kept in touch, so when I saw on Facebook last year that Heather was engaged to be married I knew we had to be apart of her BIG DAY! Can I just say, I am so glad, thankful and honored that we were!
Last summer I came out to Chicago to meet Colin, and take their engagement photos. It was during that session that I realized just how perfect these two are together. I always love witnessing happy couples, but this was obviously a little more special for us.
So enough of me getting emotional! ????????
There was so much to love about this day!!
Colin, and the guys got ready at the picturesque Hotel Lincoln while battling the rain on the rooftop. Meanwhile, Heather and the ladies were at a B+B down the street. When it came time to head to St. Micheal’s church, we all piled in a Chicago Trolley – excluding Heather and her parents who took a limo.
When we arrived at St. Micheal’s I was JAW DROPPED! I had seen photos online, but I’ve always been a fan of big gorgeous churches (having been raised catholic myself you definitely learn to appreciate the beauty and HISTORY!)
Did I mention how we somehow were able to avoid rain all day!!! It was a little chilly, but 100% better than what it looked like it was going to be at the start of the day. In preparation for the impending rain, Heather had purchased a ton of adorable umbrellas last minute – which of course once I saw we definitely had to incorporate.
Guys, at the risk of sounding repetitive – I JUST COULD NOT get enough of this day!! Cafe Brauer, is by far one of my favorite venues of all time. From it’s location, to the staff, to the endless detail inside – photographer dreams ya’ll! ALSO! There were bag pipers guys!! Scroll to the end to see all the amazing vendors from this day!
Heather + Colin, you both are amazing!! ALL of the congratulations to you both on your new life together!! I hope you enjoy this preview as much as we do!! ❤❤❤
