Kaileigh and Tate’s Van Dickson Ranch wedding was the perfect way to kick off our fall in Arizona! This couple, their families and basically everyone we ran into during the course of their day, were beyond kind!! There was just so much love surrounding this day!

By far, one of our favorite moments was during the ceremony. Tate’s reaction (and the groomsmen too) to Kaileigh walking down the isle was the hardest I’ve had to try to not cry during a ceremony. And by try I mean, I 100% cried.

As a wedding photographer, I find there are stages to this job. There is the day of, where we experience everything in real time. So many moments happen, and we are there to capture it all but as is human nature we forget those moments. Then I sit down to sort through my favorites for their album – which is always an absurd amount of photos! It is when I begin the editing process, specifically for the blog that I actually relive the moments from the day. This is my FAVORITE stage. This is where I sit alone, and digest the day as it happened. AKA staring at my computer, with a huge smile on my face, audibly going “awww”.

I explain these stages, because while editing Kaileigh and Tate’s wedding I found I was doing even more smiling and even more “AWWWW’s” than usual. This couple, and every couple we have worked with is why we do what we do. It’s not just about the pretty pictures. It is about the memories, and sharing in the love that encompasses a new beginning.
