I am so grateful for the vendor team I was able to work with on this styled urban spring wedding shoot in Phoenix! For every beautiful detail that goes into making an event like this possible – it takes an entire village. A vendor village! Everything came out even better than I had hoped it would because of them.
Being able to work with some of the absolute best the valley has to offer isn’t just a privilege I take lightly. Like a kid in a candy shop, I was able to watch what each talent brought to the table. It was completely perfect, and I’ll never be as humbled professionally as I was for this shoot. Each detail you see in these photos was carefully thought out by all parties involved.
Our host, Ron, owner at Coup des Tartes was so helpful and beyond accommodating. He literally let us take over his space, do what we wanted and it turned out AMAZING!
Katie, owner at Sift Bakehouse, who only needed to drop off our fabulous cake and macaroons (yummmm), stayed and helped all of us, for hours! Also, because of Katie, I will never say “Lambs Ear” the same again!????
Tara, owner at The Confetti Studio set up the entire bar area, and all that stunning glassware – only after packing up an entire truckload! While Bernadette, owner at Desert Whim got to the venue before all of us, and started plotting the design for the day. While I will forever be over the moon thankful for these ladies, Amy, owner at The Local Stem swooped in and saved our day. I can never repay her for that ❤️ She didn’t just save it by the way, she made it pop with some seriously stunning florals! AMMIRIGHT?!
You guys, these weren’t even all of the vendors that participated in this day. It takes more than a few people to make me look good!! Mattie, owner at Lola Lee Invitations, created a unique, and timeless invitation suite for us – gah!! ???? Dina, owner at Flourish Handlettering came in with the stunning fiberglass calligraphy signs! Suzanne’s Bridal Boutique and Celebrity Tux and Tails took customer service and style to all new levels.
Also our models… um hi! Hello? They aren’t just gorgeous humans I found off the street, though that would have been lucky!
Niya and Miles, real life husband and wife, never had the opportunity to get wedding photos when they were married. So, I can not tell you how happy it made my heart to have them be a part of this day. Obviously, as a photographer I was loving on their aesthetics, but their souls are just as beautiful, and I’m so thankful they chose to work with me on this project.
Our engagement couple, Beth and Travis, who are just amazing, and friends of Niya and Miles. Beth, also the owner at Beth Yohanny, specializes in wardrobe styling and brought on her own hair stylist, Vanessa owner at Hair by Sess. I had been following Beth for awhile on social media, so it was super exciting to finally get the opportunity to work with her.
To every person who participated whether you’re a vendor, or a photographer, this event was as perfect and beautiful, because of you! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with all of you. It was beyond awesome! Annnd … I can’t wait to do it again!
To all my future brides, and grooms too, your vendors are not just contractors you hire out based on the pretty pictures you see on their Instagram. They are your confidants. They are rooting for your day to be perfect, as much as you are! And in some cases, they completely save your day.
This is part 1 of 2 blog posts. While all these photos capture the beauty that was created, there was a completely separate aspect of the day not shown below — Behind the scenes! So Stay tuned!
